Live-Action Pokemon Movie Casts 'Get Down' Star Justice Smith as Lead

The upcoming first-ever live-action Pokemon film – titled Detective Pikachu – has cast its lead role!

Justice Smith, 22 – best known for portraying Radar in the movie Paper Towns and Ezekiel in the Netflix series The Get Down – will be playing the main character, Variety reports.

Goosebumps director Rob Letterman is on board to direct from a script by Guardians of the Galaxy writer Nicole Perlman and Gravity Falls creator Alex Hirsch.

Detective Pikachu is planned as the first in a series revolving around the popular Pokemon franchise.

When Is 'Justice League 2' in Theaters?

Justice League hits theaters at midnight and there are plans for a sequel to the film!

The sequel – currently titled Justice League Part Two – was originally set for release on June 14, 2019, but the film was delayed.

THR reports that the film was delayed “to make room for Ben Affleck’s Batman stand-alone movie,” which also does not have a set release date just yet.

Justice League stars Ben, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher, Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Amy Adams, and more.

Dwayne Johnson Faces Giant Creatures in 'Rampage' Trailer - Watch Now!

Dwayne Johnson attempts to save the world from gigantic animal-like creatures in the first trailer for his upcoming movie Rampage!

In the film, based on the classic 1980s video game, the 45-year-old actor plays a primatologist who shares a special bond with George, a gorilla he has been taking care of since birth.

However, a genetic experiment gone wrong ends up mutating George into an oversized, destructive force.

Other animals get affected as well. “You don’t know about the 30-foot wolf?” Dwayne‘s character gets asked in the clip.

Rampage is directed by Brad Peyton and also stars Naomie Harris, Malin Akerman, Jake Lacy, Joe Manganiello, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

Is There a 'Justice League' End Credits Scene?

Justice League is hitting theaters at midnight and fans are going to want to know some major tidbits after the credits!

Well, if you’re seeing the movie tonight, be sure to stick around. There are two scenes to catch!

The film brings together Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller), and Cyborg (Ray Fisher). Henry Cavill (Superman), Amy Adams (Lois Lane) and Amber Heard (Mera) also star.

The first scene happens in the middle of the credits, while another plays at the end of the credits. The scene harkens back to a scene earlier in the film about the speed of Superman vs The Flash.

'Coco' Has Become The Highest Grossing Film in Mexico!

Disney Pixar’s Coco is officially the number one film of all time based off of a local currency basis in Mexico!!

The newest animated flick from Disney is also the highest grossing animated film of all time in the country, Deadline reports.

It’s also being reported that it will surpass Marvel’s The Avengers from the top spot in Mexico.

The final trailer was released earlier this month and will hit theaters in the U.S. on November 22nd!

Coco follows aspiring musician Miguel, confronted with his family’s ancestral ban on music, as he enters the Land of the Dead to work out the mystery.

The teaser features Ryan Reynolds‘ title character doing a perfect Bob Ross impression.

'Super Mario Bros' Movie In the Works at 'Despicable Me' Studio

A new animated movie based on Super Mario Bros. is in the works at Illumination Entertainment, the same studio that has brought you Despicable Me and Minions!

The film is in the early stage of development and probably won’t be in theaters for several years, according to the Wall Street Journal.

A live-action version of Super Mario Bros. was released in 1993 with Bob Hoskins as Mario and John Leguizamo as Luigi. The film performed poorly at the box office with just $20.9 million on a $48 million budget.
