Kim Kardashian opened up about the pros and cons of living a public life on social media for an interview with 60 Minutes, which was conducted before her robbery in Paris earlier this month.
The 35-year-old reality star has not posted to social media or given an interview since the horrific incident, but the pre-taped interview aired during the CBS show on Sunday night (October 23).
In the interview, Kim admitted that she doesn’t think she would have the same career today without social media. “Not in this way. I totally attribute my career to social media,” she said. She also said, “I do believe that the pros in my situation and my lifestyle have been more beneficial than the negative things.”
When asked what her “talent” is, Kim said it is maintaining her brand and turning it into a $100 million business.
“It is a talent to have a brand that’s really successful off of getting people to like you for you,” she said. “I would think that has to involve some kind of talent, you know?”

On turning down Glee: “I was worried that if I did Glee, people would perceive me differently afterwards. I didn’t want to be pigeon-holed as a ‘teen actor.’”
On running into fans in public: “[Because of the roles I play] I meet people who are like, ‘Oh I expected you to be an asshole or a dirt-bag and wow, you’re actually a nice guy!”
On why he’s not that active on social media: “I just think that if people don’t know about you so much, then they’ll have an easier time believing whatever character you’re trying to play.”

Boyd Holbrook poses with model Jasmine Sanders in this new spread for Esquire‘s November 2016 issue.
Here is what the two stars had to share with the mag:
Boyd on why he started Madbrook, his production company: “I’m not ever going to be dependent on someone else for a job. In this business, you’re dependent on the writer, the filmmaker, the luck of beating out who knows how many people for the part. I’m over getting torn up about that.”
Jasmine on acting in Kylie Jenner’s short film: “That was fun for me, kicking down doors, pistol-whipping somebody. I was like, ‘Eff yeah, Kylie! Thank you. You chose the right friend!’”
